Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls –  found at the border of New York and Ontario. The falls are actually made up of three waterfalls: the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. Niagara Falls is a geological wonder and one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. To visit the falls on the Canadian side, a U.S. citizen must have a valid passport.

Weather:  Summers are warm and the winters are very cold, dry, and windy, and it is partly cloudy year round. Throughout the year, the temperature varies from 18°F to 80°F.

Highlights:

• Maid of the Mist – Be prepared to get wet on this tour because it take you right up to the falls, but rain gear is provided and many say that this is one of the best ways to experience the splendor of Niagara Falls.
• Cave of the Winds- a “must-do”.  Take an elevator 175 feet down into the Niagara Gorge, you’ll be able to roam a series of wooden walkways that put you within feet of the Bridal Veil Falls. It’s called the “Hurricane Deck,” thanks to the tropical storm-like conditions.
• White Water Walk- Take an elevator 230 feet to the base of the gorge, you’ll be able to walk along a quarter-mile boardwalk that overlooks the Great Gorge Rapids from the Canadian side of the Niagara River.
• Explore acres of pristine hiking trails and scenic terrain, immerse yourself in outdoor adventure.
• Taste the simple goodness of orchards and award-winning wineries.
